“Get that stretcher in here!” Kai yelled to a nearby police officer, who immediately ran to grab the stretcher that was parked by the door.

Working together, the police officers held the woman down as Craig shoved a thick, foam mouth guard, typically used for epileptic seizures, into her mouth and Kai slid a neck brace on to prevent her from thrashing her head. Then the team pulled the stretcher’s restraints over her and pulled them tight, preventing her from being able to move or escape.

“What the heck was that?” Kai heard one of the officer’s say as he threw a rag over to Craig to use on his arm.
